Arachniphobiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

Do you have a fear of spiders?
I am certainly not crazy about them!
I don't mind Daddy Long Legs, but the rest of them give me the creeps!!!
But I just couldn't resist using a few for my vampy Halloween project today I did for CC&M this week!
(This will also be a Ready-to-Assemble Kit in our Etsy shop available on Oct. 1st)

I just had to use my new favorite from CC&M - the Peek-a-View Box!
It is so much fun to play with!
I know - I just used in the last hop, but I have been dying to share this project with you!!

I started by stamping so Martha Stewart Halloween images onto the acetate & box. I used another piece of acetate to stamp the graveyard fence on & the headstones are another Martha Stewart punch/stamp combo. Isn't the vampy girl in the middle great?!! But the best part is all the FELT SPIDERS!
They're so CREEPY!! And they go so well with the girl!!
That's it!
Be sure to visit CC&M for more Halloween ideas!
There's a really fun coffin box that I want to play with next!
Cheers!

The Perfec Pair! A CC&M Blog Hop with Clear & Simple Stamps

Hi everyone! Kim here today!
Welcome to our Perfect Pair Hop with some great stamps from Clear & Simple Stamps & fabulous die cuts from Creative Cuts & More!!

This should be a really fun hop to follow because not only will you find ideas from the Die Cut Diva team, but the Clear & Simple Stamps DT (CSS) is using the same stamp sets & dies!  Each team member was given a different stamp set & then we were paired with the CSS DT using that same set! Should be fun to compare the 2 ways each set was used! The challenge was to use the stamp set & dies assigned to us to create 3 projects with one of those projects submitted to CSS for their iPhone App (HERE).
And what would a hop be without some CANDY???
There will be 2, yes TWO! prizes (from CC&M and CSS) given away to 2 (TWO!!) lucky readers EACH day!! So be sure to leave a comment as you hop along to all these wonderful sites over the next TWO days!!

So, settle on in & hop along with us. Hopefully you started at the beginning & hopped along to Regina's post over at CSS (Those were some great ideas from her!!) to get here. If not, you really don't want to miss what all these designers have done for you today! So start HERE & work you way back to me!

Ok, so I had this fun little "Popcorn Extras" stamp set from Clear & Simple Stamps:
This was fun set to work with, especially since I am a huge popcorn fan!! (Movie popcorn is the BEST!!) Here are the dies I had to work with:
Popcorn Box

Sliding Pop-up Card
Pop-up Card (Exclusive to CC&M)
I used the last on for my iPhone App submission (click HERE to learn more) & we were asked to publish that project ONLY on the CSS App site. It's a really fun card to work with - you can pop just about anything on those 2 little bars inside the card!

Here, I used the popcorn box die in Real Red to make a little table decoration that would be super fun to have out during an Oscar party, don't ya think!!
Movie projector (available soon on CC&M), stamped w/popcorn in white ink
Film Strip die with stamped, cut-out, popped & glittered popcorn

Here, I stamped more popcorn & popped them on a vintage label
Another of these fun stamps went onto the sides of the box.

Next, I used the Sliding Pop-Up Card in Real Red to make this fun thank you card with some of the phrases from the stamp set:
Sliding pop-up card, vintage label & bling all from CC&M; I used the popcorn stamps as a border around the card too
It's really a clever card - once you put the card together with Killer Red Tacky Tape (CC&M has THE best prices on this tape!!), you simply pull on the ribbon at the top to reveal the sentiment inside! Isn't it fun!!
You just have to be certain that the inside of the card isn't chunky. That's why these stamps work so perfectly together with the card!!

That's it for me today!
I sure hope you liked my ideas & don't forget to leave me a comment so you'll have a chance to win some Blog Candy from CC&M AND CSS today!

Now it's time to hop on over to Chris' blog for some more fun!
If for some reason a link is broken along the way, just head back HERE for the complete Blog Roll!

A Splash of Color - Play Date Cafe Challenge #46

Hello Everyone!!
Welcome to The Play Date Cafe Color Splash Blog Hop sponsored by Creative Cuts & More!

Here was the challenge:
Create a layout, card, 3D piece using only a SPLASH of Pink, Copper or Gold with
diecuts from Creative Cuts & More!
I chose to work with the Crayon Box again (I used this recently on my 9/2 post over at the Creative Cuts & More blog - Die Cut Diva & here because I just LOVE it!!!
(**AND, I have a special announcement regarding this post - we will be gathering up most of the "ingredients" from this project & creating a KIT to sell on Etsy by the end of the month!!! So stay tuned!!**)
I started off stamping the Kraft colored box with this cool Arched Doorway stamp from Lost Cost Designs, (Yes, I figured out a way to stamp it onto cardstock to continue the archway when the lid was closed. I simply stamped the top part of the arch onto white cardstock, Glimmer Misted it with "Sand" & "Tattered Leather" to get the tone closer to the crayon box's Kraft color. Then I lined it up with the rest of the arch. Viola!) Then I assembled the box with Killer Red Tacky Tape.

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the Pixie (from Red Lead Paper Works) first in black & then again but with embossing ink & embossed it in gold powder. Then I cut out the WINGS to each & swapped them so the black Pixie would have the gold wings.
I then colored them in with the pink & mounted her on the front of the box.
That was really it for the challenge, but I knew that I wanted to use this box for my daughters school photos over the years, so I kept going... (it would also make a GREAT ATC box!)

(the top of the box says "Watch Me Take Flight")
(Inside the box is all these little cards & butterflies)
(On the back of the cards is room for a title, date & 5 Favorite things)
I cut 18 pieces of white cardstock to approx 2.5x3.5" to accomodate a wallet photo. I then punched butterflies out of more Kraft cardstock that I had previously stamped with various patterns; layered them in 3's & stapled them down the center onto the cards. I used my dymo labeller to make the age labels (I made enough to place on 9 cards - Pre-K through 6th grade) in pink too.
Lastly, I stamped this great "Favorite Things" (from For the Luv of Art's August Kit) image onto the other set of 9 cards - I didn't want the staple showing through the other side, so I glued these to the back of the photo cards (We'll simplify this for the kits).

Isn't it a great way to keep all those adorable school photos in one tiny spot?!!
